The Model Photographer Meetup: Power at the Pass - Where it All Started

The Start

1931 Myrtle Ave, El Paso, TX
In 2022, something special started at Power at the Pass.
Invited by Valentin Sandoval, we hosted our very first model and photographer meetup inside this dynamic and inspiring space—and to our surprise and joy, over 100 attendees showed up for that debut gathering. From that moment, we knew something powerful had been set in motion.

Events in 2022

The success of our first meetup inspired us to keep creating. By the end of 2022, we had hosted three unique events at Power at the Pass:

  • 70s Night — where it all began, full of retro glamour and community spirit.
  • High Fashion Night — an evening that elevated our meetups into a space of bold creative expression. Guests embraced avant-garde styling, dramatic silhouettes, and striking concepts, pushing both models and photographers to experiment and create at a higher level.
  • Masquerade Meetup — a dramatic, mysterious night where elaborate masks and styling transformed the event into a visual storybook. The theme encouraged participants to step outside their comfort zones, resulting in some of the most imaginative collaborations we’ve seen.

Each event was hosted by Vivian Serrano, whose background in photography and modeling shaped the way these meetups were curated and executed. With a deep understanding of both sides of the creative lens, Vivian guided the vision of each event, ensuring they were not just gatherings but platforms for collaboration, artistry, and growth.

The Collaborators That Made It Happen

That night, and at the two events that followed, we were supported by an amazing lineup of local talent and businesses:

  • Valentin Sandoval – Our host and one of the earliest believers in this movement.
  • DJ Goldbloom – Brought the vibe to all three meetups with unforgettable live sets.
  • Nuhda Boutique – Styled our talent with curated looks for multiple events.
  • Old Sheepdog Brewery – Kept the creative energy flowing with their local craft brews.
  • Nuhda Boutique – Styling by Denisse Salazar who was there since the very first event.
  • Models involved – Sofia Prieto, Victoria Chavez, Vanessa Foster, Oriann McDermott, & Sofia Terrazas.

And many more incredible local brands who supported us as we grew.
